Claims

Following is an overview of the various types of claims that can be received by Trade Partners.

Statement of Adjustment

  • These types of deductions apply to short delivery, damaged stock, pricing discrepancies, deals, rebates and co-op.  (Note SOA price adjustment queries - go to PEL Merchandise)
  • Deal claims (rebate and co-op) are sent electronically to Trade Partners along with the Statement of Adjustment.
  • Any queries in relation to deal claims should be directed to your Business Manager.

Invoice Matching Discrepancies

  • Invoices processed through the PEL invoice processing system (warehouse or electronic direct to store delivery) are matched against purchase order details at time of receipt of the goods.
  • If there is a quantity or pricing difference, PEL may process a claim.
  • Details of such claims, including the relevant GST amount, are shown on PEL's Statement of Adjustments.

Manual Debit / Credit Note

  • Miscellaneous claims for post receipt adjustments (i.e. damaged stock and dated stock).
  • The credit note is sent to the Trade Partner from the Transaction Processing Centre for action.

Produce Distribution Centre Credit Notes

  • All claims are manually sent to the Trade Partner.
