Because providing the finest fresh food is so important to us, we've dedicated at least 25% of every new generation Countdown to fruit and vegetables, meat, fish and seafood, and deli.

Every store contains a vast selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, including one of New Zealand's largest fresh cut salad ranges. Fresh produce is delivered to stores daily. Fresh cut salads, such as coleslaws, bean, potato and pasta salads are delivered to our stores 6 days a week.

Even our hot half and whole chickens are cooked in store throughout the day, then removed from sale if not purchased within 5 hours.
